Youth Counselling
Big feelings can be hard to navigate, but with the right support, children and youth can grow in confidence, connection, and emotional strength.
Helping Children Feel Safe, Understood, and Confident
Childhood and adolescence come with big emotions, rapid changes, and experiences that can be difficult to understand or express. At Pacific Pines Wellness, our Child & Youth Therapy services provide a warm, supportive, and developmentally appropriate space where children and teens can explore their feelings, build coping skills, and feel truly understood.
We believe children do their best when they feel safe, heard, and supported. Our therapists meet young clients where they are, using evidence-based and play-informed approaches to help them navigate emotional, behavioural, and social challenges.

We’re Here to Help
Our therapists are trained to work with youth (13+) using developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches. Sessions are tailored to each child’s age, personality, and needs.
How Youth Counselling Can Help?
Teens often express themselves differently than adults. Therapy allows them to communicate through conversation, creativity, movement, and play, making space for all emotions, including sadness, anger, worry, and joy.
What Sessions May Include:
Art, games, and creative activities
Emotional regulation and coping strategies
Skill-building for communication and relationships
Collaborative goal setting
Family support and parent guidance when appropriate
For teens, sessions may focus more on talk therapy, identity development, coping skills, and emotional insight.
Supporting Parents & Caregivers
We recognize that parents and caregivers play an essential role in a child’s wellbeing. When appropriate, our therapists may provide caregiver support, guidance, and education to help reinforce growth outside of sessions.
Consistency and predictability are important for therapeutic success. Regularly scheduled sessions help children build trust, feel safe, and make meaningful progress.
