The impact of trauma.
Feeling numb or distant from yourself and the people you care about
Avoiding places, people, or memories that bring up difficult feelings
Struggling with nightmares, flashbacks, or thoughts that feel overwhelming and out of control
Always feeling on edge, easily startled, or like you’re constantly watching for danger
Feeling stuck in survival mode, even when you’re surrounded by safety and support
Finding it difficult to trust others or to feel truly safe and secure in your emotions
